Interview Preparation Guide
Getting Started: Choosing Your Interview Mode
When you first open the Practice page, you'll see three main options for practicing interviews, as shown in the image below. Each mode offers a different way to prepare, depending on your needs.

1. Solo Practice
The Solo Practice mode lets you practice by yourself using AI feedback.
- You can type out your responses to interview questions in the provided notes box.
- After submitting, you'll receive a detailed AI report analyzing your answers.
- The AI provides strengths, weaknesses, scores, and improvement tips to help you refine your responses.
📌 AI feedback is available to Advanced plan members.
This is an excellent way to get structured feedback and track your progress over time!
2. Schedule Interview
The Schedule Interview mode allows you to set up a 1-on-1 session with another user.
- You can create a session with your preferences (such as target schools and skill level).
- Your session will be visible on the platform's calendar so others can see and join.
- Once another user accepts, you are matched and expected to attend at the scheduled time.
🔹 Private Invite Option: Instead of making your session public, you can invite a specific user that matches your preferences. This way, the session is not posted on the calendar, and only the invited user receives the request.
📌 Tip: We strongly recommend completing your profile by clicking your profile picture in the navigation bar. A detailed profile helps our system match you with the best practice partners based on your school preferences and schedule.
Managing Your Scheduled Sessions
Once you've created or accepted a session, it will appear in the panels below the session creation buttons, as shown in the images below.

Your Hosted Sessions
If you created a mock interview session, it will appear under "Your Hosted Sessions." From here, you can:
- See the session details (time, participant status, and skill level).
- Join the meeting once the session is ready.
- Access the meeting link (available 5 minutes before the start time).
- Edit or delete the session if needed.
Sessions You've Accepted
If you accepted another user's mock interview request, it will appear under "Sessions You've Accepted." From here, you can:
- View the session details, including the host and preferences.
- Cancel the session if you can no longer attend.
- Access the meeting link (available 5 minutes before the start time).
Need to Make Changes?
- Rescheduling or Cancelling: If you can't attend a session, you can either amend the time or cancel it altogether from these panels.
- Waiting for a Partner? If you're hosting a session and no one has joined yet, your session will remain open until someone accepts.
📌 You will receive a notification once someone accepts your session.
Calendar and Session View
This section of the practice interface helps you manage and discover interview sessions. It displays:
- Your scheduled sessions (both hosted and accepted)
- Public sessions created by other users that are available to join

Using the Calendar
- 📅 Double-click on an empty calendar cell to open the Schedule Interview interface for that specific day
- 📜 Clicking a date with scheduled sessions will scroll down to reveal both available and booked sessions for that day
Joining a Practice Session
- Browse available sessions created by other users and join one that fits your preferences
- Public sessions will be labeled with details like host name, school, skill level, and time
- Click "Accept Session" to confirm your participation
Filtering Sessions
To find the best practice session for you, use the dropdown filters:
- Filter by School – See sessions specific to your school (Picking a school is optional. If your school isn't listed, no sessions are available yet—maybe you should create one!)
- Filter by Skill Level – Find sessions that match your current experience level
This section makes it easy to join practice sessions created by others so you can get the most out of Operation Acceptance!
